CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 2004--Callaway Golf (NYSE: ELY) Staff Professional Mark McNulty shot a 3-under-par 68 yesterday to win the Outback Steakhouse(R) Pro-Am, his first Champions Tour event. McNulty relied on the Great Big Bertha(R) II Titanium Driver and new HX(R) Tour Golf Ball in his debut on the over-50 tour, finishing at 13-under-par 200 to match the tournament record at the TPC of Tampa Bay in Lutz, Fla.

"This is my first win in America, my first event on the Champions Tour and a dream come true," said McNulty, who was born in Zimbabwe, lives in England, and took Irish citizenship last year. "I had a great deal of confidence in the way I'm playing. I drove the ball well with my Great Big Bertha II Driver and this HX Tour ball, it's just amazing the way it performs. Right now, I just couldn't be happier."

McNulty, 50, has won tournaments all around the world but this is his first U.S. tournament victory. He has 55 worldwide wins, including 16 on the European tour, where he ranks 19th in career earnings. McNulty's win continued a streak for the Great Big Bertha II Driver, which has been in the hands of a winner during each of the past four weeks.
