CARLSBAD, Calif., Mar 22, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Callaway Golf (NYSE:ELY) Staff Professional Annika Sorenstam continued her dominance of women's golf yesterday with a four-stroke win at the LPGA Safeway Classic to complete a global "Brand Slam" weekend for Callaway Golf as the winners on the LPGA, PGA Tour, PGA European Tour and Champions Tour each used equipment manufactured by the Company.

Sorenstam's victory was the 59th worldwide win of her career, her second win in two starts this year with the new ERC(R) Fusion(R) Driver and HX(R) Tour Golf Ball combination, and capped a major weekend for Callaway Golf(R) equipment. It began Sunday with a victory in Singapore at the PGA European Tour's Caltex Masters by a golfer who hadn't won in 16 months and who just this week switched to the Callaway Golf HX Tour Golf Ball. It continued with a six-stroke win on the PGA Tour at Orlando's Bay Hill Club by a pro who this week switched to a new Great Big Bertha(R) II 415 Titanium Driver made by Callaway Golf. And on the Champions Tour, the winner used the Odyssey(R) White Hot(R) 2-Ball Putter in his one-stroke victory.

"I'm very excited with the way I'm playing," said Sorenstam, who has won by four strokes in each of her '04 wins. "My overall game is right where I hoped it would be going into the first major championship of the year next week. I feel like I'm driving the ball really well, hitting my irons well and making some putts. That gives you confidence."
